Conditions for candidates whose applications will be accepted or rejected are determined and announced by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) within the “Principles Regarding the Acceptance of Students from Abroad.” Applications of candidates who meet the conditions determined by YÖK for the quotas of the programs accepting students will be accepted.

Application and preference procedures for quotas determined by the Council of Higher Education for Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMÜ) associate and undergraduate programs for students from abroad are carried out electronically (online) via the UZEM (OMÜ Distance Education Center) Application and Preference System (yöstercih.omu.edu.tr).

To apply and make preferences, candidates must register on the UZEM Application and Preference System (yöstercih.omu.edu.tr) and log in with their username and password.

Information about the application fee, conditions, associate and undergraduate programs, quotas, and special conditions of programs are provided on the preference system (yöstercih.omu.edu.tr).

Applications that are not made within the dates specified in the Associate and Undergraduate Programs International Student Application, Evaluation, Placement and Final Registration Calendar, or that are submitted by hand or by mail, will not be accepted. The candidate’s declaration about meeting the application requirements during the application and preference process is essential. Applications with incorrect, misleading, or incomplete information or documents will be considered invalid.

Applying to the associate or undergraduate programs of Ondokuz Mayıs University within the quotas for international student acceptance means that the candidate meets and accepts all the conditions stated in the Ondokuz Mayıs University Associate and Undergraduate Programs International Student Directive and the “Principles Regarding the Acceptance of Students from Abroad” set by YÖK. Students whose applications, registration phases, or post-registration processes are found to be non-compliant with the provisions of the Ondokuz Mayıs University Associate and Undergraduate Programs International Student Directive or other rules and conditions determined by the University will have their relations with the University terminated.

Ondokuz Mayıs University has the authority to make changes regarding announced dates, applications, preferences, evaluation and placement procedures, registration procedures and dates, required documents for registration, tuition fees, and all announced conditions in the international student acceptance process. Decisions regarding changes and related announcements will be published on Ondokuz Mayıs University’s web pages. Announcements on web pages are considered official notifications, and no separate notification will be sent to candidates. It is the candidates' responsibility to follow the announcements.

Communication with candidates during application, preference, placement, pre-registration, final registration, and post-registration processes will be conducted via the university email addresses and the email addresses provided by the candidates during application. Therefore, candidates must regularly check the emails sent from the University. The email address provided during the application must be owned by the candidate, current, and accurate. Each candidate should use only one email address. No correspondence should be conducted on behalf of other candidates with this email.
