2-Do I need to come to the university for final registration?
Registration can be completed either by applying in person for final registration or online for preliminary registration.
3-What happens if I miss the registration dates? Can I register later?
Candidates who do not complete their registration by the deadline specified in the Acceptance Letter will be considered as having forfeited their right to register.
4-Can someone else (with a power of attorney) complete my registration on my behalf?
Registration via proxy is not allowed.
5-What are the requirements for preliminary registration?
Preliminary registration is a temporary right offered online to international students. This process is carried out in two stages: First, preliminary registration online. Second, converting it into final registration by submitting the required documents to the Registrar's Office in person. Conditions for preliminary registration:
a) Students who are not required to provide a Turkish proficiency certificate must pay the international tuition fee. Students who are required to provide a Turkish proficiency certificate must pay both the international tuition fee and the OMÜTÜRKÇE course fee.
b) Students who are placed in programs that require a special talent exam are not eligible for preliminary registration.
c) Preliminary registered students who wish to start their education in the registered semester must submit the required documents before the course registration dates specified in the academic calendar.
d) All students must complete their registration by personally delivering the required documents by the final registration date determined by YÖK (Council of Higher Education).
e) Students must prove that they are legally residing in Türkiye (e.g., with a passport or residence permit) when converting preliminary registration to final registration. Those who cannot provide such documents or have violated their legal stay will not be granted final registration, even if their preliminary registration was accepted.

7-Can I send my documents for final registration via email?
Registration cannot be done via email. Students who cannot be present in person during the final registration period can use our Preliminary Registration System. Please visit: onlineiso.omu.edu.tr
8-Can I register with missing documents?
No, all required documents must be submitted for final registration to be completed.
9-I am under 18 years old. Can I register?
Yes, but you must provide a notarized letter of consent approved by a notary in Türkiye or by a Turkish foreign mission in your country.
10- What happens if there are missing documents during registration?
Your registration will not be processed until all required documents are submitted.
11-Which students are exempt from submitting a Turkish Proficiency Certificate?
a) Citizens of the Republic of Türkiye,
b) Dual nationals, one of whom is a Turkish citizen,
c) Those who completed secondary education in Turkish high schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education in Türkiye,
d) Those who completed secondary education in Turkish schools abroad recognized by the Ministry of National Education,
e) Those who graduated from Turkish Open High School’s overseas programs,
f) Graduates of associate or undergraduate programs at universities in Türkiye,
g) Those who were Turkish citizens by birth but later renounced citizenship with permission from the Ministry of Interior, or those with a Blue Card,
h) International students accepted into associate or undergraduate programs taught entirely in a foreign language are considered proficient in Turkish and are not required to provide a Turkish Proficiency Certificate.
12- My Turkish proficiency certificate is not at C1 level. Can my final registration still be completed? If so, what is the latest date to submit the certificate?
Yes, your final registration can still be completed.,
a) Students who do not have a C1 certificate will be granted a leave of absence for up to 4 semesters from the beginning of the academic year.
b) Students who present proof of enrollment in a Turkish language course approved by the Ministry of National Education or at a state university are considered preparatory students. Those who do not register with OMÜTÜRKÇE or a recognized institution will be considered inactive and cannot receive a student certificate.
c) Students who do not submit a valid C1 certificate by the end of the 4th semester will have their registration canceled by a decision of the faculty board, without any notification. Click here for the Turkish Proficiency Certificate Information Note
13. Can all students benefit from preliminary registration?
Yes, except for those placed in programs that require a special talent exam.
14. I completed preliminary registration. Do I still need to submit my documents? What is the deadline?
Yes, preliminary registered students must convert their registration to final by submitting all required documents before course registration.
15. I completed preliminary registration but did not submit my documents. Will my registration be canceled?
Yes. Students must submit the required documents in person by the final registration deadline set by YÖK for that year. If documents are not submitted within this period, their registration will be canceled without notice.
16. I completed my final registration. Can I receive a student certificate?
A student certificate cannot be issued until you complete your course registration.
