• Placement procedures will prioritize the results of the Turkey International Student Entrance Exam (TR-YÖS).

• According to the Turkish Citizenship Law, candidates who were Turkish citizens by birth but renounced Turkish citizenship with permission from the Ministry of Interior, candidates who hold a blue card documenting their status as former Turkish citizens upon request, candidates who completed their high school education abroad (except TRNC) and have dual nationality where one nationality is Turkish, as well as candidates holding Turkish citizenship:The quota for registration in Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Law, and Teaching programs shall not exceed 10% of the quota of these programs.
• In case of a tie in placement scores, priority is given first to the High School Grade Point Average (HS GPA). If there is still a tie, placement is done according to the order of preference. If a tie remains after placement, the younger candidate is preferred.
• Applications to departments accepting students through special talent exams are evaluated according to the criteria in the special talent guidelines of the relevant department. Special talent exams are held at the locations of the relevant departments on the dates and times specified in the calendar.
• During the academic year, a candidate can only be placed in one program/department. There is no right to preference and placement a second time.
• Applicants applying on the basis of their high school grade point average must have graduated from high school, provide proof of their graduation, and have a finalised grade point average. For applicants whose high school grade point average is not explicitly stated in the required documents, it is calculated by dividing the total of the course marks listed on the graduation certificate by the total number of courses.
• Applications are based on the candidates’ declarations regarding whether they meet the application requirements. Accordingly, it is mandatory to enter all information and documents into the application system completely and accurately during the application process.
• An applicant’s application is considered complete upon approval of the information declared and documents submitted during the registration phase of the preference system following a preliminary evaluation by the relevant units, and upon payment of the application fee.
• During the preliminary evaluation phase, the relevant units review the suitability of the information and documents submitted by applicants through the preference system. If any inconsistencies, errors, omissions, or false statements are detected in the information or documents, the applicant’s application is deemed invalid, excluded from evaluation, and not included in the placement process.
• Applicants who fully meet the application and preference criteria, whose information and documents have been verified by the relevant departments following the preliminary assessment, and who have paid the application fee, will be subject to the placement process in accordance with the programme criteria and scoring criteria.
• The final assessment of applications and the placement of candidates in their preferred departments/programmes is carried out by UZEM and the International Student Admissions Committee; this process is formalised by a minutes document bearing the signatures of the committee members. Registrations are conducted by the Student Affairs Department.
• Communication with candidates during application, preference, placement, pre-registration, final registration, and post-registration processes will be conducted via the university email addresses and the email addresses provided by the candidates during application. Therefore, candidates must regularly check their emails sent by the University. The email address provided during the application must be owned by the candidate, current, and accurate. Each candidate should use only one email address. Correspondence should not be conducted on behalf of other candidates using this email.
