International students who register at our university may benefit from General Health Insurance (GSS) by submitting a written request to the Social Security Institution (SGK) within three months from their first registration date and by paying the insurance premium.

Students who do not apply in writing to SGK for general health insurance within three months from their first registration date will not be able to benefit from general health insurance for the remainder of their studies. If you do not apply for General Health Insurance within the first three months, you will be required to obtain private health insurance in order to be eligible for a residence permit (legal stay in Türkiye).
